My name is
Dave. I've been writing for a number of years. I won't tell you how
many. You can come up with a good idea if you examine my
writing/resume page and crunch the numbers, if you're interested.
Suffice it to say that when I started writing I used a
Remington portable typewriter, and first class postage was five
cents.
I've also been a publisher, a ghost writer, and an
editor. I edited two anthologies of short stories. The
banner at the top of this page is part of the cover of one of
them - October Dreams: A Harvest of Horror. Jeff Mason did the
excellent cover illustration as well as several interior pen and ink
drawings.
But you can read about my work on my Bio and Writing pages.
The main
reason I started thinking about creating an Official Website is to
provide the correct - the official - information about
my work and about me. I am also a journalist - I wrote for the
Midlands Business Journal for nine years and
developed a keen appreciation for getting the facts right.
So it annoys me when I come across misinformation on the Web
such as the assertion that I died in 1990. This point must be
understood: I am not dead. Check out my FAQ page if you don't
believe me.
Also, check out the News page for
information about my recent activities as well as events for
interest to writers and readers, and my Resources page for
links to other valuable Websites and blogs for writers.
That
about covers the intro. Oh, by the way,
I also Tweet, write
for The Examiner, and publish Web articles on Ezine Articles; follow
the links at the bottom of this page.
